Monitoring redirect.pizza itself

If you want to monitor the redirect.pizza service itself, we recommend using our well-known ping endpoint.

This endpoint is available on our edge domain:

https://edge.redirect.pizza/.well-known/redirect-pizza/ping

You can use this endpoint in your monitoring tool to check if the redirect.pizza edge network is reachable and responding correctly.

Monitoring your own redirected domain

The same endpoint is also available on your own domain name once it is configured and redirecting through redirect.pizza.

For example:

https://redirect.new/.well-known/redirect-pizza/ping

When monitoring your own domain, make sure to replace redirect.new with the domain name you have configured in redirect.pizza.

What should I monitor?

We recommend checking for a successful HTTP response from the endpoint. This confirms that your request reaches the redirect.pizza edge network and that the service is responding.
